A spectator's ring is borrowed and laced onto a shoelace which is wrapped around the performers hand, sealing the ring within the confines of the performer's clenched fist. His other hand removes a key ring from his inside coat pocket. It is plainly seen to contain only keys. The keyring is placed under a handkerchief.
Now the spectator's ring is caused to vanish. The hand is opened and is completely empty. The spectator himself removes the hank and there linked between the keys is the missing ring. The spectator has to unscrew the retaining lock to remove the keys and retrieve his ring!
Climbing Coin Magic trick (Prof. Hoffmann). Shown here is a beautiful little illusion as described in Prof. Hoffmann's More Magic. EFFECT: " ....a coin (quarter) is borrowed from some member of the audience,and placed, unmistakably in the drawer at the front of the column. The drawer is closed, and the column placed on the performer's table. The performer then calls attention to the little box; handing both drawer and case for examination. He invites the person examining it to reinsert the drawer with his own hands, then places it on the flat top of the column. After a brief moment, the coin is seen slowly climbing up the face of the column! It climbs all the way up the column and out of sight. A moment later, the performer takes the little box from the top of the pillar, takes out the drawer, and shows the coin has arrived therein!
